Several teams have been interested in linebacker Demario Davis, according to multiple reports.
However, the Jets are not expected to be the highest bidder for Davis, according to Bleacher Report's Connor Rogers.
Davis, 27, recorded two sacks and one fumble recovery last season for the Jets. He has played in all 16 games in each of the four seasons he has been in the league since New York selected him in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Don't expect the Jets to be one of those four teams. I'd expect the Buffalo Bills to be among that group and maybe the Kansas City Chiefs as well. After an inconsistent season in 2015 for new coach Todd Bowles, Davis was effectively benched by the end of the season for Erin Henderson. Henderson seems the player that the Jets want to bring back, but he is also a free agent that has generated interest from the Oakland Raiders.
