The Manhattan District Attorney has opted not to bring charges against Jets LB Lorenzo Mauldin, who was was arrested in June for misdemeanor assault.
Mauldin was accused at the time of punching 22-year-old Jean Lopez after a drink spilled, according to reports.
"I want to thank everyone who stood behind me," Mauldin told the New York Post. "I was fortunate to have the resources to fight the case and clear my name when, too often, others don't."
It is not yet clear whether he will still face disciplinary action from the NFL, but Mauldin said he plans to focus on football and his future.
The 25-year-old linebacker, who landed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery on his back, has played in 26 games for the Jets in his first two seasons.
