New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles said he was concerned after 12 players missed Wednesday's practice ahead of Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
"It's alarming to see so many [not practicing]," Bowles said to the New York Post's Brian Costello, "but hopefully by [Thursday] and Friday we'll get a couple of these guys back."
Center Nick Mangold (knee), DE Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle), WR Brandon Marshall (foot), RB Bilal Powell (turf toe), LB Bruce Carter (quad), TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (ankle), LB Darron Lee (ankle), S Buster Skrine (knee), RT Brent Qvale (neck), DE Sheldon Richardson (personal, not injury related), LT Ryan Clady (shoulder) and TE Kellen Davis (hip) all missed Wednesday's practice.
Cornerbacks Darrelle Revis (ankle) and Antonio Allen (Achilles), and RB Matt Forte (knee) were all limited.
Bowles told reporters that WR Devin Smith and OT Breno Giacomini could be activated off the PUP list and play this week.
