Trading down is certainly on the table for GM Mike Maccagnan and the Jets on Thursday.
But NFL Draft expert Rich Cirminiello sees trouble on the horizon for the Jets if they're not careful.
If the Jets do trade down, here are two names they should steer clear from:
Andre Dillard, Washington State, T
Cirminiello doesn't believe Dillard is a fit in the Jets' new offense under Adam Gase, especially with running back Le'Veon Bell serving as a focal point.
"The guy that does concern me the most is Dillard," he said. "He played in that pass-happy offense with Mike Leach at Washington State. Very athletic but a little bit light.
"Let's leave someone else to take that kid."
Greg Little, Ole Miss, T
To Cirminiello, Little looks the part and moves like it, too.
"But when you put on the tape, he doesn't deliver up to the expectations. He lacks a bit of a nasty streak, inconsistent, unfocused. Footwork could be a little choppy at times … Greg Little is someone I don't trust."
At the end of the day, Cirminiello believes the Jets may find the most value in selecting an elite prospect with their original pick.
"I have absolutely no concerns at No. 3," he said. "In my opinion, you're getting an instant starter and someone who will be an early Pro Bowler."
