League executives are not high on the idea of signing CB Darrelle Revis, reports Manish Mehta in the NY Daily News.
Revis, 31, was released by the Jets last week. It was a move Jets head coach Todd Bowles said had to do strictly with football, and not Revis' recent arrest.
"Have you seen his tape?" one general manager told Mehta. "I wouldn't let him play for me for free."
"Revis is done," another front office executive told Mehta. "You respect the body of work throughout his career, but all good things come to an end."
The Jets and Revis had been discussing a potential move to safety before his release.
Revis, who has made the Pro Bowl seven times, had the worst season of his career in 2016 -- something he partially blamed on his lack of conditioning entering the season.
