In NFL.com's latest mock draft, Chad Reuter forecasted the first three rounds for all teams. With the Jets first selection at no. 6 overall, Reuter has them taking Wyoming QB Josh Allen.
The Jets take Allen over Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield, who fell to the Cardinals at no. 15. USC QB Sam Darnold went no. 1 to the Browns and UCLA QB Josh Rosen went no. 2 to the Giants.
Allen threw for 3,202 yards with 28 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in his sophomore season. However, his production dropped this season to 1,812 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also suffered a shoulder injury, and was forced to miss the final two regular-season games this year.
As for the second round, this mock draft has the Jets taking USC RB Ronald Jones II and DE/OLD Dorance Armstrong of Kansas with their two picks.
This season, Jones rushed for 1,550 yards with 19 touchdowns. The 20-year-old added 187 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown as well.
Armstrong's 2017 numbers were modest. He had two sacks, three forced fumbles and 9.5 tackles for loss, but was better in 2016 when he had 10 sacks, three forced fumbles and 20 tackles for loss.
In the third round, Reuter has the Jets taking Stanford CB Quenton Meeks. Meeks had two interceptions this season.
The NFL Draft starts on April 26 and finishes April 28.
