Now Commenting On:

Per Ian Rapoport, the Jets are going to host Brandon Gibson tomorrow for a visit.

Gibson is a good route runner and has good hands and will catch the ball well away from his body, but the downside is that he doesn't have great speed.  For those reasons he's a good fit as a possession style receiver, which the Jets will need badly in a WCO and is probably why he's an early visit for the Jets.  Gibson is know to be able to set defenders up and while he's not fast, has the quickness to transition well in his cuts to create enough separation to catch the ball, but not the top-end speed to maintain the separation.  In four years Gibson has had production questions and has caught more the 50 passes twice, but there's been a lot of flux for the Rams over his time with the team.
