Saunders was driving to the Jets facility to join the team for trip to Cincinnati for a preseason game when his car crossed over the oncoming northbound lanes and stopped on the side of the road. The incident report obtained by NJ.com said one officer, whose name was redacted, was taken to Morristown Medical Center for evaluation for an injury sustained during the incident. He was later released.
No charges have been sought against Saunders, who has been medically cleared and is expected to play Thursday in the Jets final preseason game at Philadelphia.
Jets coach Rex Ryan told reporters Monday that Saunders had a seizure, but wasn't more specific. An anxious Saunders told reporters doctors warned him he could have more seizures. "Anybody that loves me should be worried," he said (Post, Aug. 25)
