Sapp, out of Clemson in 2010, was originallu signed to the Jets practice squad in October 2011 after a season with the Eagles and a knee injury. He was released and re-signed a few times by the Jets, and was promoted to the active roster on a couple of occasions.
"He had a tremendous practice. Probably had 5 sacks today," the Jets head coach said.

Sapp has been a player that the team has had high expectations of this offseason and will be a big contributor to the team in 2013. It's unclear right now if he start the season as a starter, but he will definitely see a good amount of sub-team work at a minimum and have an impact on this defense this season.
