Jets RB Khiry Robinson suffered a broken leg during Saturday's 41-3 loss to the Patriots and has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.
Robinson will be replaced on the roster by RB Brandon Burks, who was signed from the practice squad on Wednesday.
It is the third time the 26-year-old Robinson has broken his leg. He also suffered a broken leg during the Jets' final preseason game this season, and his 2015 season ended after eight games due to a fractured tibia.
Robinson rushed eight times for 22 yards against the Patriots in what was his only regular season appearance of the season.
He had been waived/injured by the Jets on Sept. 4 and was re-signed on Dec. 7.
Burks signed with Green Bay as an undrafted free agent after the 2016 NFL Draft, and was a final roster cut by the Packers in September. Burks signed to the Jets practice squad on Dec. 14.
The Jets also announced that TE M.J. McFarland has been signed to the practice squad.
McFarland signed with the Eagles after he went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, but was waived/injured in September. McFarland played his college ball at Texas-El Paso.
