Now Commenting On:

As reported earlier in the day, Marc Ross removed his name from consideration for the Jets' general manager position. Ross had drawn interest from the Jets and Panthers and was actually a candidate for another team back in 2010 however, the Jets seemed disinterested as no second interview was scheduled and Ross appears content to remain with the Giants. Of course Mike Florio will tell you that this is just another testament to the fact that the Jets couldn't give the job away but those Eagles sure are a persistent and smart bunch by wrangling Chip Kelly. Anyway...

In other news, Jim Popp appears to be out of the running for the position as reported by our own Jake Steinberg. Popp has been one of the more mysterious candidates with reports that he did interview then he didn't then he did again. This is good news for Alouettes fans after losing Marc Trestman to the Bears.
