Jets quarterback Sam Darnold has been named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week after his big return Sunday.

Darnold came back from his three-game absence due to mononucleosis, and put up some big numbers for the Jets in their first win of the season.

The second-year USC product went 23-of-32 for 338 yards, two touchdowns, an interception and a 117.6 passer rating Sunday for the Jets, as they pulled off a big 24-22 upset of the Dallas Cowboys.

Darnold was three yards shy of tying his career-high mark in yards.

The Jets will look to capitalize on their win next Monday night when they host the unbeaten Patriots at MetLife Stadium.
