When the Jets drafted Williams sixth overall, the move seemed strange, but in light of the Jets slow-playing the Mo Wilkerson contracts and Sheldon Richardson's recent problems, adding a player like Williams -- arguably the best overall talent in the draft -- was the right play.
It's been a tumultuous offseason and preseason for the Jets defensive line and a serious injury to their first round draft pick was the last thing this team needed. A few days or weeks rest should set Williams right ... now that the results of the MRI are in I can fully exhale.
