Now Commenting On:

Here's some more of the rundown on what's happening in Indy.

Falling Star -- Utah DT Star Lotulelei will likely drop based on a medical exam this weekend and the report that there's something amiss with a heart ventricle.  Star might well do all his drills at his upcoming Pro Day, but no team is going to use a top ten pick on Lotulelei at this point.

Will Patterson Drop? -- No one is going to question Tennessee WR Cordarelle Patteron's athleticism (6'2" 216 lbs 4.42 40 yard, 37" vert, 10'8" broad jump) Russ Lande writes on NFL that Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson was "very unimpressive" in team interviews this weekend at the Combine.  A bad interview should ruin things, but paried with some lackluster pass-catching drills in Indy might make him start to slide.  As an athlete, Patterson remains a 6-foot-2, 216-pound freak. He ran a 4.42 official forty with a 37-inch vertical and explosive 10-foot-8 broad jump.

Quarterback Flop -- We all know that this is not a very special quarterback class and no one player seems to have jumped out in a way to do much for their draft stock based on their Combine.  Geno Smith is the top option, Nassib looked OK, Tyler Wilson was great on long passes but bad on short ones, Mike Glennon was basically called an ungainly disaster by the Bills website, and EJ Manuel was once again inconsistent.

Whatever it Takes -- Denard Robinson the QB to WR convert from Michigan had a good Combine and demonstrated his athleticism, but some teams have also asked him if he's willing to convert to corner, he said he's willing to do it.

Not that Bad? -- Jarvis Jones apparently got better reviews on his medical reports from some teams than was previously reported, per Chris Mortensen.  More than likely, we'll have to wait and see what happens on the day of the Draft with Jarvis Jones.

Running Back Questions -- Some players might have dropped based on their 40 times like Stepfan Taylor, but Jonathan Franklin seems to be the one player who is on the rise after his work at the Combine.

Moving Forward -- As we had written about earlier this offseason, Tyrann Mathieu is moving away from his "Honey Badger" monniker and while he didn't play in 2012, he's still been working on his game intently to try and get better and play in the pros.

Alex Smith Off Market? -- Jason LaCanfora tweeted that the Niners have struck a deal to trade Smith, but as of yet the team Smith will go to is not known.  It doesn't look like it's the Jets, but so far it might be the Jaguars or with the Chiefs being the most likely team.
