With the trade deadline today at 4PM ET, there is no chance that Tim Tebow is not about to be traded, reports the NY Post's Brian Costello who spoke with a source about the matter.
There was a report by a Jacksonville TV station on Tuesday night that the Jets and Jaguars were talking about a trade to send Tebow to his hometown team. A source said that report is not true.
The Post reported last week the Jets would not trade Tebow before the trade deadline, which was pushed back to today at 4 p.m. because of Hurricane Sandy.
In addition to that, yesterday Adam Schefter told ESPN SportsCenter viewers that a trade for Tebow was "not gonna happen. I never expected that the Jaguars would trade for Tebow now that they are into the season. Ironically, Gabbert might not have been great (55.6% 1,209 yards, 5.84 YPA, 7 TDs 3 INTs 17 SK), but the truth is that he's been better in a number of statistical areas than Mark Sanchez (52.9%, 1,736 yards, 6.38 YPA, 10 TDs 8 INTs 18SK) has been ... and it's not exactly as if Gabbert is stacked with talent at the WR position either.
The Jaguars might be struggling to find their place, just like the Jets ... but the one thing that might be more defined than the Jets is their quarterback situation.
