New York had just one prime time game last season, and it wasn't on Monday Night Football. The last time they saw a game on the ESPN-aired telecast was back in 2016, when the Colts routed them, 41-10, on their home turf in MetLife Stadium.
There are a few good storylines heading into this year's contest, though. For the visiting Lions, they have a new, young head coach in Matt Patricia.
For the Jets, a new quarterback era may be underway in Week 1, with GM Mike Maccagnan expected to select a potential Quarterback of the Future in the upcoming Draft.
