Now Commenting On:

With New Year's and all the interest around any pending decisions, we took a few days off from the Year in Review posts ... we'll finish them up quickly over the next few days.  Here's a quick look at all the happenings from the Jets of the last year, month by month.  Next up, August 2013 ...

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Jets chant was reborn!! Well .. kind of.

Mark Sanchez got a start, everyone had a hot take.  David Aitken's post went viral.

Geno defended his conditioning, Chris Ivory needed more of it. Kellen Winslow was monitored closely to keep him healthy.  Dee Milliner's started to get dinged up too.  Coples was having a good camp.  Corey got to interview his surnamesake.  We also spoke with Mr. Kerley.  Check out the D-Line at work.

Geno Smith's camp injury became a problem, impeding his chances to play in the preseason.  Rex called a practice of Smith while he was fighting off injury "brutal."  Sanchez then got the second straight start.  The odd re-insertion of Sanchez caused him injure his shoulder joint due to an unfortunate injury.  Please stop talking about JaMarcus Russell!!!!  The Jets started to get ahead of the Sanchez injury story.

The Jets PR staff handed out their now-famous crib sheets for players.  Goodson returned to the team and was prepared to serve a four game suspension.  Matt Simms took advantage of an opportunity.  Dan Carpenter got a cup off coffee with the Jets.  The Jets submitted their 53 man roster.

We got a little preachy what with all the media on media violence.

Random stuff? The Jets moved on from Jordan White.  Joe McKnight continued his downward trend. Jeane had a Q&A with Damon Harrison.  Braylon impressed, but not enough for John Idzik.  CAN'T WAIT™ joined CBS Sports. We were unimpressed with whatever value Santonio could offer if and whenever he returned to the field.  Former Jet Dustin Keller had his first season with the Dolphins end way too early due to a low hit.

The Jets crowned their King Ugly, who was later deposed.
