It has been six years since that infamous day at MetLife Stadium. The Jets and Patriots were pitted against each other in a division matchup on Thanksgiving, and New England was the obvious favorite.

But it was one play in particular during this blowout loss for Gang Green that would be cemented in history -- and it wasn't good. Jets QB Mark Sanchez wanted to hand the ball off for a fullback dive, but miscommunication forced him to run himself.

Well, Jets fans know what happened next...

Even years later, Sanchez can't escape that one play from following him around no matter what team he ends up playing for. This time, it's with the Redskins, who he will start for against the Giants on Sunday due to Alex Smith and Colt McCoy out for the season with leg injuries.

One reporter during a press conference on Wednesday brought up the butt fumble, as it is affectionately known, and Sanchez decided to have fun with it.

First, he said, "I'm not following," when the reporter tried to ask about it. Then, he gave the typical "oh well" answer, but added a little fun joke back at the reporter himself...

"What are you gonna do? I mean, it was a crappy play in a game where we're getting our butts kicked. It's some long-hanging fruit so that was an easy reach for you."

Sanchez would immediately say he was kidding, but continued saying, "Who cares, it's one play. And yeah, you just move on."
