Jets cornerback Brian Poole spoke with SNY's Jeane Coakley after the Jets big time 34-3 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Poole intercepted a deflected pass and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown, extending the Jets lead to 34-3 with 3:25 left in the third quarter. It was his first career pick six, and the fifth interception of his career.
"It was nice, it was nice. Like I said, it was a really good play," Poole said. "It was a three by one set, got a tip, I was able to get to it. Was able to get in the endzone... It was the first pick six of my career, so definitely excited about that."
The Jets defense has stepped up the past few weeks, allowing an average of 15.6 points per game during their three-game win streak.
"Everybody is kinda coming together," Poole said. "Things are starting to go our way. We've been preparing well, week in and week out. And I just feel things are kinda starting to fall our way. Young defense that's going in the right direction."
