Leonard Williams has always wanted to travel, and now that he has his passport, he has taken full advantage of it this offseason.
Speaking with SNY's Jeane Coakley, Williams explained how he couldn't really go anywhere when he was younger. But being a professional athlete with an offseason definitely has its perks now.
"I always loved the thought of traveling and wanted to travel," he said. "I just, like I said, underprivileged so I never had a car or the funds or means to travel. Now that I have [the] offseason and money to travel, I'm able to and it's awesome to get out and experience different worlds of life and stuff like that. Just open my mind up to different stuff."
Since Williams got some stamps in his passport, he wants to add a new traveling buddy in rookie DT Quinnen Williams. The Alabama product admitted earlier this offseason that his visit to New York after getting drafted was his first trip to the Big Apple.
He also made a trip to Miami before camp, so he could get his traveling legs under him before taking on real trips with Leo.
"I went to Miami, to this aquarium and swam with dolphins. So that was my first step in venturing off into the wilderness."
