After reportedly trying to trade down, the Jets took Alabama DT Quinnen Williams with the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday night -- something Williams called his "life dream."
And Williams told SNY's Ralph Vacchiano that he's ready to dominate right away.
"For sure, man. Just coming from Alabama, man, I'm already built with the mentality," he said. "Built with the process, build with the standard. Just going into the NFL."
Williams cited new Jets teammates Jamal Adams, Leonard Williams, and C.J. Mosley as players who have taught him "how to be a pro on the field, off the field -- teaching me how to carry myself on the field, off the field by being an NFL football player." And he thinks they can take him "a whole new level."

And the 21-year-old Williams is pumped to play for Jets DC Gregg Williams -- a coach whose "hard-nosed" mentality Williams likened to Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
Williams said he's ready to get out there and "ready to be the best in the World" while taking the University of Alabama standard and bringing it with him to the Jets. "It's like moving from Alabama and going to another Alabama."
