DE Mo Wilkerson's ankle is apparently getting better. Head coach Todd Bowles said Wilkerson was "just maintaining" on Wednesday, but he had no setbacks on Sunday in Cleveland.
Bowles offered good news on C Nick Mangold's ankle and LB Darron Lee's ankle, too, though it remains to be seen how good it is. Both are getting better. Mangold is out of the walking boot. But neither have started running yet. The big test will come in the next two days, because if they're not running by Friday there's no chance they'll play.
CB Buster Skrine, meanwhile, is running, but "he's got to do a lot more (on Thursday)," Bowles said, before he'll know if he's ready to play.
It's unclear how serious the injury to WR Charone Peake is. He twisted his ankle near the beginning of practice on Wednesday, Bowles said. That will be one to watch on Thursday.
It appears TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins will be OK for Sunday. Same with LT Ryan Clady, who like Wilkerson was just getting a maintenance day. Bowles also had some encouraging words about WR/KR Devin Smith, who is still on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list while recovering from knee surgery. He has to be activated by next Wednesday, otherwise he'll go on injured reserve. Bowles said its "possible" he'll be activated before this week's game in Miami.
