When Joe and Evan asked Wilkerson about the nature of his leg injury, Wilkerson explained that he was being cautious “Well, I felt some pain and I wasn’t too sure. That’s why I stayed down. But we got a great training staff here. I’m getting all my treatment here to get me back on the field." Per quotes from CBS NY. When asked about what the Jets will need to do to slow down Buffalo, Wilkerson made it clear that shutting down Spiller and Johnson are keys. “We need to set edges. [Spiller is] a quick, fast guy and we have to make sure everyone is filling their holes and filling their gaps and not letting them get in any creases. On the back end, we gotta do our job, know our assignments and shut down Stevie Johnson.”
Coming off an excellent gameplan against the Patriots, if Wilkerson can go, the Jets should have a very good shot against a competitive Bills team at home.
