Josh Cribbs

Free agents Aaron Curry and Josh Cribbs both left their visits with the New York Giants without contracts, according to reports.

Curry, the former fourth overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft who has been since cut by both the Seahawks and Raiders, took a physical with the team. Questions remain about Curry's knees, as he has worked out for the Bengals and Bears without signing onto a team.

The Giants may be looking to add a veteran to the linebacking corps heading into training camp. The team did not address that position during the draft after parting ways with Michael Boley and Chase Blackburn this off-season.

Former Pro Bowl KR/WR Josh Cribbs will be visiting TPC today along with LB Aaron Curry. The 29 year-old Cribbs is a free agent is looking for a new home. He visited with the Raiders and Jets earlier this week and left both meetings without a contract.

From PFT:

The Giants previously showed interest in Cribbs as a potential replacement for Domenik Hixon, who signed with the Panthers. But Cribbs? knee caused him to delay the process of finding a new team. Now that he?s healthy, he?s looking ? and the Giants remain interested.
Cribbs debuted for the Cleveland Browns as a UDFA out of Kent State in 2005. He as named All Pro twice (2007, 2009) and to the Pro Bowl three times. He is tied with Leon Washington for the league record for most kickoff returns for a TD with eight. He also has three TDs off punt returns. His 10,015 kick return yards makes Cribbs the NFL's active leader in that category, where he is stands fifth all-time.

The Giants will be looking to find other options beside David Wilson at KR since Wilson will be given a larger role on the offense. The PR spot is wide open as well. Hixon was still the team's best option last season but his history of knee injuries caused the Giants to switch to rookie WR Rueben Randle.
