3/20/18 | 6:06PM: Asked about Kevin Shattenkirk's status, Alain Vigneault said
- On Kevin Shattenkirk, "we had this discussion, I think last week when our doctors shut him down because the knee has swollen. Him and I both agree on this, even if it's one game it would be a good idea for his sake to get out there and play. People may disagree with that but if the knee is 100% we would like him to get in as many games as he can. It's just a matter now of getting into game timing and game conditioning and if the knee will continue to react positively."
- Why would it be a good thing, "mentally as a player you want to know if you can go and play. I just think that for his psyche and mindset it would be a good thing."
- What are the chances that happens, "I think very good, from what I have seen so far, I would say that within a couple of weeks, if things go the way they are supposed to go they are supposed to go he should be good to go."

Alain Vigneault said on Monday that Shattenkirk skated that morning, was feeling good and they were going to see how his knee reacts.
