After the Knicks failed to land the number one pick in Tuesday night's NBA Draft Lottery, the attention quickly shifted back to whether or not the team could swing a trade for New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

According to a report from Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily news, the Pelicans "are not high on Kevin Knox," according to a source.

Earlier this week, SNY Insider Ian Begley reported that the Pelicans had been "quietly gathering some intel on Knox recently," and while information gathering isn't anything new or out of the ordinary within league circles, it could have signaled that the Pelicans would want Knox included as part of any trade package.

Any deal for Davis, an eight-time All-Star averaging 23.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per game during his career, would almost certainly include multiple draft picks going to New Orleans, though adding young prospects like Knox could potentially save the Knicks future picks. Knox averaged 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a rookie last season.
