The Knicks may not be contenders this season, but their young talent is being recognized around the league.

Following a 108-95 loss to the Wizards on Sunday, Washington guard Bradley Beal praised Knicks undrafted rookie Allonzo Trier.

"It's crazy to think he was undrafted," Beal said. "It's kinda disrespectful with the way he's been playing."

Trier is averaging 10.6 points per game in just 21.5 minutes per game and had nine points in 22 minutes against the Wizards.

The game prior against the Mavericks, he put up 23 points in a 118-106 win.

Beal, an All-Star last season, added that he sees a lot of himself in the 22-year-old guard.

"He's unbelievable. It's crazy, because he does remind me of myself," Beal said. "He might be a lot more aggressive coming into the league than I was. He has a huge chip on his shoulder."
