Now Commenting On:

While the Timberwolves initially planned to trade Kevin Love before the draft, they are now considering holding onto him until after Carmelo Anthony's signing, sources told Sean Deveney (Sporting News, June 25).

This means Anthony's free agency decision could directly affect Love's future landing spot. Sources indicate that the two teams most frequently tossed around in the Melo conversation -- Houston and Chicago -- would both be interested in Love if they are unable to land the former Knick.

Other teams are still in on Love, and could put together a package to convince Minnesota to part with him earlier, but if they hold onto him past draft night, the results may likely come after Melo's.
