Now Commenting On:

Tyson Chandler could return to the lineup Wednesday at Milwaukee, Knicks coach Mike Woodson confirmed.

"He's getting close, perhaps Wednesday maybe," Woodson said Monday night.

Woodson said Chandler -- out since Nov. 5 with a broken leg -- will go through a "full-blown practice" on Tuesday and if there are no setbacks, "He might play Wednesday."

Thusfar, he has only done 3-on-3.

Kenyon Martin (abdominal strain) remains out and could be out 1-2 weeks.

"I would think somewhere in that neighborhood," Woodson said.

"We just haven't had a full deck yet and I'm hoping we can get there eventually," Woodson added of his injured players.

Woodson also downplayed reports that he and J.R. Smith had had a dust-up following the Bulls game.

"I'm not going to sit here and air out things that go on in our locker room. J.R. and I are fine," Woodson said. "He's just gotta pick it up and play together, just like Iman [Shumpert's] gotta play together."

Finally, Woodson said the Knicks were interested in re-signing Jeremy Tyler and bringing him back from the D-League to provide reinforcements on the front line.

"He's slow right now because he's just getting back to playing," Woodson said, referring to the leg injury that kept Tyler out of training camp. "We just gotta be patient with that as well....Hopefully we can get him back up once we see some progress."
