After New York took a 66-55 lead into the half, the Timberwolves roared back into the game with a 31-point third quarter. However, the Knicks responded with a 30-point fourth quarter to quell the rally.
All five Knicks starters -- Carmelo Anthony, Amare' Stoudemire, J.R. Smith, Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler -- scored in double figures. Anthony led the way with 33 points. Chandler had a double-double (15 points, 14 rebounds)
The Knicks shot almost 41-percent from beyond the arc, while the Timberwolves shot worse than 27 percent.
