The Knicks have held their spot on the throne as Forbes' most valuable NBA franchise for 2018. This is the third straight year New York has been atop the list.
The Madison Square Garden Company-owned franchise is worth an estimated $3.6 billion, which is a nine percent increase from last year. The Knicks' make a whopping $426 million in revenue each year to go along with $140 million in operating income.
Not only do the Knicks hold the number one spot in the NBA, but they are also the sixth-most valuable sports franchise in the world.
Under the Knicks sits the Lakers ($3.3 billion), Warriors ($3.1 billion), Bulls ($2.6 billion), and Celtics ($2.5 billion).
The league average worth of a franchise is set at $1.65 billion.
