[sny-box]The Least You Should Know
Carmelo Anthony had 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist. He was 9-for-23 from the field.
Andrea Bargnani had 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. 16 of those points came in the first half. He was 8-for-20 from the field.
Raymond Felton had 12 points and 7 assists in his return after missing the last 4 games.
The bench combined for only 13 points, inlcuding only 2 points in the first half.
The team died by the three, only hitting 3 in 20 attempts.
Blake Griffin, JJ Redick, and Chris Paul all had 15 points. Paul left late in the game with an injured hamstring. Former Knick Jamal Crawford had 13 points.[/sny-box]
One number really jumps off the box score. Amar'e Stoudemire was a -29 in 20 minutes off the bench. Let me write that out. MINUS TWENTY-NINE!
If the Knicks expect to turn this around, they need to get something from their bench. Two points in the first half is inexcusable. 6-for-25 from the field for the bench is inexcusable. JR Smith had a short spurt for 7 points in the 3rd quarter, but that's about it.
The Knicks looked solid in the first half, going to the locker room only down 4, but it all went down the tubes afterwards. Andrea Bargnani didn't give much in the second half (as usual), scoring only four points. Carmelo Anthony needs some help with the scoring from somewhere.
Bright spot is Kenyon Martin. He had a well-rounded 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. He was a +17.
Next Game: The Knicks visit Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, Nate Robinson and the Denver Nuggets on Friday, Nov. 29th at 9:00pm
