Now that the Toronto Raptors have been crowned the 2019 NBA Finals champions after defeating the Golden State Warriors in six games, it is time to shift gears toward the 2019-20 season. Which means looking at the early odds for next year's champion.

For the Knicks, they still have a long way to go, but that could change -- for better or worse -- after NBA free agency is over.

Per the latest from Odds Shark, the Knicks are slated at 33-to-1 odds to win the NBA Finals next year.

They share the same odds as the Trail Blazers, Pelicans, Thunder, Mavericks, Pacers, Spurs and Jazz -- which is not terrible company considering many of those teams reached the postseason this year.

Earlier this week, Odds Shark had the Knicks as the favorite to land Kevin Durant, even after his Achilles tear. Of course, if Durant does sign the Knicks, he likely would not play until the latter half of the year at best and miss the entire 2019-20 season at worst.

The best odds to win the NBA Finals next year belong to the Milwaukee Bucks at 4.5-to-1 while the Warriors are next at 5-to-1. Oddsmakers seem to think the Los Angeles Lakers may win the Anthony Davis sweepstakes, placing them at 7-to-1 odds.
