The Knicks won just 17 games last season

The Knicks had the worst record in the NBA last season (17-65) and scooped RJ Barrett with the No. 3 pick in the Draft and Ignas Brazdeikis in the second round before missing out on every top free agent and pivoting to the lower tier.

So how many games should they expect to win in 2019-20?

BetOnline has set the Knicks' over/under at 27.5, which would mean a solid improvement over the tank that last season was but a team that is still a far cry from being a postseason contender.

The Knicks are adding Barrett to a young core that features Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, and Allonzo Trier, and will be supplemented by a whole bunch of free agents -- with New York able to clear all but Julius Randle off their books after just one season.

Aside from Randle, the Knicks signed Marcus MorrisWayne Ellington, Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis and Elfrid Payton. And they're still working on signing Reggie Bullock

The No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference last season (the Pistons) finished with 41 wins.
