G Emmanuel Mudiay is expected to make his Knicks debut on Sunday against the Pacers according to head coach Jeff Hornacek, via SNY's Taylor Rooks.
Mudiay will be in the mix with Frank Ntilikina, Trey Burke and Jarrett Jack. ESPN's Ian Begley said that Hornacek "suggests" that Jack's minutes will lessen for the rest of the season. The 34-year-old has started ahead of Ntilikina all season.
The Knicks acquired Mudiay just ahead of the trade deadline in a deal that sent F Doug McDermott to the Mavericks. Mudiay, 21, averaged 8.5 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 42 games for the Nuggets this season, while averaging 17.9 minutes per game.
This season, Ntilikina is averaging 5.2 points, 3.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 20 minutes per game. In the team's first game without Porzingis, Ntilikina played right to his season averages: 5 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds in 21 minutes as the Knicks were blown out 113-88 to the Raptors.
Burke has played in 11 games with the Knicks since being signed from the G-League. He's averaging 8.5 points and 3.1 assists on 55 percent shooting in 14.2 minutes per game. At 25-years-old, Burke could have a future with the Knicks.
