When asked on Wednesday about the seemingly dysfunctional nature of the Knicks franchise, head coach Jeff Hornacek said the craziness is something he expected coming into the year.
Speaking to reporters before Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Hornacek, amid Carmelo Anthony trade rumors, said his first year in New York has "lived up to the billing."
"I kind of -- not was warned -- but expected that there was going to be something all the time," Hornacek said. "It's lived up to the billing. It's been something out here. So OK, let's go play a game and try to win."
Heading into Wednesday night, the Knicks are 22-31 and sit at 12th in the Eastern Conference.
