Courtney Lee admitted to the media that he and Jeff Hornacek exchanged words, of the variety that couldn't be repeated, at halftime of the Knicks' 108-100 win against the Raptors. At the time of Lee and Hornacek's back-and-forth, the Knicks were losing 59-48.
"We came in here, we watched film and Coach kind of got on me. I really didn't like what was being said," Lee said, via ESPN. "... [It was] a little explicit. I don't think I can repeat what he said to the media. But we exchanged words and we went from there."
The Knicks were a different team in the third quarter, going on a historic 28-0 run amid outscoring the Raptors 41-10 in the third quarter.
"We had some stronger words for each other and we talked about stuff that we wanted to do better and we came out in the second half and played like a different team," Kristaps Porzingis said.
