After Madden's rankings created a stir among NFL fans early on Monday, NBA2K quickly followed up with their rankings, too.

Of note is how the rookies are ranked, particularly Knicks' RJ Barrett.

New York's first-round pick, and third overall, was rated a 78 in his first time appearing in the video game.

Barrett's ranking placed him third among rookies, behind Grizzlies' Ja Morant -- ranked 79 -- and Pelicans' Zion Williamson -- ranked 81, the same order in which they were drafted.

Following Barrett on the rookie scale was Hawks' De'Andre Hunter and Cavaliers' Darius Garland, both at 77.

Barrett made his first impressions with the Knicks the last few weeks in NBA Summer League, averaging 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in five games.
