It's a loaded question. He's a former Olympian who raves about Mike D'Antoni. He's also a player who seemingly is pining for one last big contract. He's also recently said that he now wants to stay Utah after almost being traded what seems like 10 times.
What is his value? Where is he in comparison to the likes of Amar'e Stoudemire and Chris Bosh? And, of course, David Lee.
Boozer, to me, plays as big as 6'9, yet seems shorter. He's a solid face up, back-to-the-rim player who gets you 20 and 10...along with wins. The Jazz have a strong nucleus when you consider Deron Williams, hence why they have made consistent playoff appearances, and Jerry Sloan deserves great credit as well.
Is he a pick and roll player in this system? I believe he can be. And he's an outstanding post defender.
But how much is that worth? You'd have to imagine it would be in the ballpark of a max, but one has to wonder if he, like Joe Johnson, would take less to play with a star.
Interesting that Yao Ming has discussed free agency, but for know we'll limit it to the big 4.
I wonder where Boozer Ranks among the free agent forwards, if all the money were relative.
