Sounds like the type of player the Knicks could use on the blocks to take some time and pressure off of STAT and Ronny Turiaf.
Foster makes close to $7 million dollars this season, the last of his multi-year deal. The Knicks could potentially use Eddy Curry's contract if they deem that Carmelo Anthony is going to head towards free agency.
But the thing with Foster is that he has a few things that work against him. 33 isn't old but he's an old 33 and he's tremendously injury-prone. He's never played a full NBA season, and he doesn't log that many minutes. I can't see the Knicks giving up assets for a player like Foster.
If you want to see other options up front head to hoopsworld. To me, I'd put Jared Jeffries, should he get bought out, on top of the list. I also think, like Foster, the interest in Joel Pryzbilla isn't strong due to a checkered injury past. If you make a deal, the player has to actually play.
