After missing consecutive games, C Enes Kanter is hoping to suit up for the Knicks on Monday when the team hosts the Trall Blazers at Madison Square Garden.
Kanter has been sidelined by back spasms, which he said became an issue after the game on Friday night against Atlanta. He has had difficulty walking and has been taking pain meication.
He said he will not be 100 percent by Monday, but still hopes to play if allowed.
"I'm already taking medication, and it still hurts when I walk,'' Kanter said, according to the New York Post. "They're pretty strong ones. I'm not going to make the decision. They're going to make the decision. I'll play with pain 95 percent of the season every season. If it's not going to affect me in the long run, I'll play. It don't matter."
Kanter is averaging 13.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for the Knicks this eason.
