Now Commenting On:

The rook has arrived.

Tim Hardaway Jr. has played lights out off the Knicks' bench over the past week, averaging just more than 16 points and shooting 43 percent from the field, including a 31-percent mark from beyond the arc over the past four games.

Of course, his 29-point effort against the Cleveland Cavaliers a week ago marked a new career high, and his clutch shooting in the fourth quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers last night nearly allowed the Knicks to complete the late comeback.

The rookie still needs to find a way to be more consistent, but over the past week he's certainly proved he's the Knicks' best option at guard off the bench. And the more minutes you award him and the higher volume of shots he takes, the better off he is.
