The Knicks declined shooting guard John Jenkins' option for the 2019-20 season, but have interest in bringing him back, SNY's Ian Begley confirmed.
The option would have paid Jenkins a minimum of $1.9 million.
The Knicks signed Jenkins, 28, to a 10-day contract last February and extended the contract as he played 22 games. He averaged just 5.2 points per game and shot 38 percent form the field in just 14.5 minutes per game.
He also spent time playing for the club's G League in Westchester.
The Knicks are trying to maximize cap space for free agency this summer and have been declining team options and qualifying offers for a handful of players.
