The Knicks will be without point guard Frank Ntilikina in Philadelphia against 76ers, the second half of a back-to-back for New York.
Ntilikina missed Monday and Wednesday's losses to the Houston Rockets and Charlotte Hornets, respectively, due to a sore groin, and the Knicks announced on Thursday that he'll once again be sidelined in Philadelphia.
In his third NBA season, Ntilikina is averaging 5.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 rebounds, shooting 38.5 percent from the floor.
Without Ntilikina in the lineup the last two games, Dennis Smith Jr. and RJ Barrett did most of the ball-handling on Monday, and Elfrid Payton returned on Wednesday to handle those duties on Wednesday.
His absence has also opened up some playing time for Allonzo Trier, who took advantage of his opportunity on Wednesday, scoring 15 points in 16 minutes against the Hornets.
Trier could look to build on that momentum against the Sixers, who will be without their two injured superstars, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.
