The Knicks lost out on another one of their free-agent targets.
In addition to striking out on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Knicks failed to sign Terry Rozier, who reportedly agreed to a three-year, $58 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Rozier, who was mutually interested in the Knicks, replaces Kemba Walker, who agreed to a four-year deal with the Celtics on Sunday.
The Knicks were "keeping an eye on" the 25-year-old Rozier, sources told SNY's Ian Begley earlier this week, as an option once Boston rescinded his restricted free agency rights.
Rozier, who averaged 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 79 games last season, said last month he "definitely can" see himself becoming a Knick.
New York, which entered free agency with approximately $70 million in cap space, lost out to the Brooklyn Nets on Durant and Irving.
