Knicks forward Lance Thomas will be re-evaluated in about four weeks after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Thursday, the team announced on Friday.
Thomas underwent surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery by team orthopedist Dr. Answorth Allen to remove loose bodies in his knee. He will begin rehab immediately and will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Thomas did not play in Wednesday's game over the Hawks and was limited to five minutes in Monday's double-overtime loss to the Bulls.
In 11 games this season, the 30-year-old Thomas has averaged 3.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game.
He is currently in the third year of a four-year, $27.5 million deal.
