Thomas, a forward, spent the last four seasons with the Charlotte Bobcats, before the team used their one-time amnesty to put him on waivers. If a team signs him while he is still on waivers, they will take on the remainder of his five-year, $40 million dollar contract. He has two-years and $19 million left on his deal. Once he clears waivers, however, he will become an unrestricted free agent.
In his last season with Charlotte, Thomas had career highs in three point field goal percentage (.375) and free throw percentage (.839). He played in 26 games and averaged 4.8 points per game.
