The Knicks' Summer League debut against the Pelicans was stopped with 7:53 left in the fourth quarter due to an earthquake.
The west coast experienced a 6.9 magnitude earthquake, suspending play at Las Vegas' Tomas & Mack Center. The Pelicans had an 80-74 lead when play was stopped in the fourth quarter. The reported epicenter of the earthquake was in Ridgecrest, Calif., some 230 miles away from Las Vegas.
Both teams left their benches for their respective locker rooms, as the video board and sound speakers above the court swung back and forth.
After a delay of about 25 minutes, the game was officially postponed, then later cancelled.
Five things to know about Friday's game...
1) RJ Barrett struggled to find his shot in his Knicks' Summer League debut. The lefty scored 10 points, but shot just 4-18 from the floor, including just 1-8 from beyond the arc. His college teammate, Zion Williamson, scored 11 points in just nine minutes in his debut and did not play in the second half.
2) Kevin Knox came out hot for the Knicks, scoring 10 points in the first quarter, including a pair of early three pointers. Knox finished the night with 17 points.
3) Second-round pick Ignas Brazdeikis showed an ability to get to the rim, attacking early and often off the bench. Brazdeikis ended the night with five points on 2-5 shooting.
4) Allonzo Trier led the Knicks with 21 points, on 8-15 shooting. He also made three of his four shots from beyond the arc.
5) The Knicks didn't have a good shooting night overall, shooting just 37.7 percent from the floor overall, and 27.6 percent from beyond the arc.
