After playing for the Knicks last week, rookie F Ignas Brazdeikis is being recalled once again, the team announced on Wednesday.
It's unknown why Brazdeikis has quickly made his way back to the Knicks, but the team could be short-handed. His most recent appearance came against the Jazz on Jan. 8 during the team's west coast trip. He played five minutes where he recorded an and-one for his only three points of the night.
Brazdeikis has played a scattered nine games with the big club this season, averaging 1.9 points over just 5.9 minutes per game. He's 6-for-22 from the field over those games.
Down in the G League with the Westchester Knicks, Brazdeikis is seeing some pretty good success with 19.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He's averaging 32.8 minutes over 12 games in Westchester, which is why the Knicks have been leaving him there to continue his development.
He'll have a chance to impress the Knicks on Thursday when they host the Suns at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 p.m.
