The Knicks and Rockets have resumed trade discussions surrounding Carmelo Anthony, sources have told ESPN, but "no pathway has emerged" at this time.
The Rockets are seeking the involvement of additional teams to complete the trade. Anthony is still only willing to be traded to the Rockets, according to ESPN. If the teams are unable to complete a deal before the season begins, Anthony still may be traded after games are underway.
The Portland Trail Blazers have expressed interest in Anthony, but there is no indication that Anthony would approve such a deal.
In 74 games for the Knicks last season, Anthony averaged 22.4 points, 2.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game.
